Are you looking for a quick, nutritious, and tasty breakfast option? Overnight oats might be just what you need! This no-cook recipe is perfect for busy mornings when you want something wholesome without spending much time in the kitchen. Plus, it’s incredibly versatile and can be customized to suit your taste.
What Are Overnight Oats?
Overnight oats are simply oats soaked in liquid (usually milk or a milk alternative) overnight in the refrigerator. This soaking process softens the oats, making them ready to eat by morning without any cooking. The result is a creamy, satisfying breakfast that you can enjoy cold or warmed up.
Banana Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe:
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup yogurt
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 banana
- 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa or 1 tbsp Nutella
- 1 tbsp crushed walnuts or hazelnuts (optional)
- 1 scoop of protein powder (optional). If you add protein powder, add 1/4 cup more milk to the mix. My favorite protein powder is Orgain® Vanilla Bean Organic Protein Boost Powder, which you can buy from Amazon.

Instructions:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
- I love to store these in 8-oz mason jars, and this recipe yields enough to fill 2 jars.
- Refrigerate overnight; enjoy cold or warm in the morning.
